This poem is truly beautiful and deeply moving! 🌸 The imagery is vivid, and the metaphor of the withering bush speaks volumes about life’s cycles and the beauty in both growth and decline. The hopeful tone at the end ties everything together perfectly—thank you for sharing such a thoughtful piece! 👏✨
But hark! In the distance, a whisper takes flight,
Spring’s gentle footsteps emerge from the night.
The frost starts to soften, the earth feels its kiss,
Awakening dreams in a moment of bliss.
Thank you for sharing your story so openly. It takes a lot of courage to express what you've been through, and I deeply admire your strength. Living with BPD can be incredibly challenging, but the fact that you’ve continued to seek therapy and explore ways to cope shows your resilience.
I want to remind you that you are not alone in this journey. Many people with BPD have found ways to manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives, even after years of struggle. It’s never too late to find hope and healing. Treatments like DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) have helped many individuals improve emotional regulation and build healthier relationships.
It’s okay to feel hurt or frustrated—it’s part of the process. But please know that your experiences matter, and sharing them can inspire others who might also feel isolated or misunderstood.
If you ever need someone to listen or exchange thoughts, I’m here for you.
"The Song of the Hummingbird" is a beautifully nostalgic and evocative piece that vividly captures the innocence and imagination of childhood. The heartfelt memory of the green shirt dyed with love and the playful adventures as Robin Hood in the ironwood trees bring warmth and authenticity to the narrative. The descriptions of nature—fireflies, bats, Turkey Creek’s sulfur-tainted waters, and the hummingbird—create an immersive atmosphere, blending humor and melancholy while grounding the story in a sensory-rich world.
The symbolic moments, like the hummingbird alighting on the shoulder or Mama’s voice from the broken radio, add emotional depth and layers to the narrative, reminiscent of Gerald Durrell's style. These elements make the text profound and touching. While some transitions between scenes feel abrupt, expanding on the protagonist’s thoughts or childhood experiences could further engage readers and enhance flow.
Overall, this is a poignant and heartfelt story that leaves a lasting impression through its vivid imagery and sincere storytelling.
My God, this is so complicated. Even while reading, I could barely figure out who is who. How can one possibly understand all these people when there are so many of them? You spend half your life trying to figure out your own gender—and even then, you don’t really understand anything. By the way, this is the first time I’ve heard that there’s a specific orientation called polyamorous relationships. I mean, of course, I know such things exist, but I never knew that’s what they’re called. I have a novel-biography written without embellishments or fiction. It’s also a kind of coming out in its own way. But it hasn’t been translated, and I won’t be able to manage such a big translation on my own.
