This isn't really a review, but more of a head's up. Part of the contest rules for Daily Flash fiction is that you must submit the total number of words to be eligible for judging. If you wrote your story using MS Word or another program like ti, there should be a menu item under "Tools" for you to use. You can also use the "Item Tools" menu on the right-hand side of your item's header in your portfolio.
I hope you get the word count in before the deadline. It's a good story.
Great story! I liked the pun at the end especially.
I saw no grammatical or punctuation errors. The characters were believable. I liked that you kept George's age ambiguous. He could be a child, he could be an adult. His passion for entering contests is all we really need to know about him.
