The pain of losing a loved one is a difficult emotion. I can relate to your pain, in that when I was 15yrs old, I lost my mother. And you are right, there is confusion, loss of faith, and for me a multitude of emotions of a young girl lost to the world.
My mother was my world, the only person that had ever loved me. She was a 55 yrs old widow when she adopted a 2 1/2 yr old baby girl(me). And because of her unconditional love, I was taught some very wonderful values.
I am happy that you at last, found the love of your father in your heart and in the way you resemble him. For that is the gift they give us. They are never far from us; they are always watching over their beloved children.
You brought to life, the pain an sorrow you felt, and allowed the reader to walk beside you as you took your journey back to 'the lands', and to the realization, that your father lives in your heart.
I look forward to reading more of your work, you do have a great way of bring the reader alone in your travels. Keep up the good work.
