The Fire

Poem about passion and love

I look into your eyes,
through the fire’s light,
the flames dance across your face
the light illuminates your smile.

I can feel the heat between you and me;
the fire can’t compete
I can sense your touch
I see your thoughts.

The fire burns brighter,
you look into my eyes
the world comes crashing down
until there’s nothing left
but you and me
and the flame that burns
inside of us
making us one
