It's who I am.

I am the crimson of the darkest rose
the vibrant colors of a tainted sun
proclaimed existence of carnal sins
once innocent love of two twined hearts

color me the shade of my heritage
whose ruby drops with which I exist
where I was born, a forgotten place
once honored above all others

color me the tint of my emotions
achingly sensitive to casual words
blind anger that quickly sears the soul
a gentle seduction of thinking mind

color me the tone of humanity lost
of passion, lust, and gentle love
of violence and never-ending hate
that which reside in all of us

color me the hue of eternal hurt
unforgiving betrayal rewound again
once more broken, a healing heart
life's relentless, malignant cycle
