A short, sweet poem that describes a young one's interest for another. |
| Reverie. Patiently biding with mere anticipation, I drifted in reverie as butterflies fluttered abundantly inside. Drowning in all of his inspiration, I was fixed upon his flaxen hair and bright, sea foam eyes. Desperately, I tried to inhale all of the possibilities That his presence, had at last, placed upon me. Reaching each out with words so heady and sublime, He accompanied my lonely solitude, Eliminating spare time. Oh, who would have ever believed That he’d cast his love inside of me? Maybe there’s hope that he will be mine. Never should I feel alone with him, he promised me, But I suppose the future can only, from here, see. And maybe one sweet day it’ll be evident— That together, we were truly meant to be. |
