The Battle Within

When struggling with inner thoughts all that can be done is slay them in thought.

The Battle Within:

Facing my fears on a battlefield of dreams
Knowing all isn’t as it seems
Sizing up my life’s struggle
Placing together the pieces of this puzzle
Standing up to that which frightens me
Drawing my sword for all the world to see
Locking blades with my image of fear
Knowing not what I would hear
Whose voice could it be?
…The voice… was me.
