A Villanelle poem (Entry #34 found on page four of "Poetry Forms" )
written for the "Invalid Item"  contest .

With this balmy atmoshpere
That pervades today,
It is truly hot in here.

A thunderstorm is near
Moving this way,
With this balmy atmosphere.

Then you appear,
I begin to melt away.
It is truly hot in here.

Lightning begins to sear
Me as it starts to play
With this balmy atmosphere.

I need the rain to quench my fear
Of not knowing what to say,
It is truly hot in here.

As I sit, melting here,
Slowly, you walk this way.
With this balmy atmosphere
It is truly hot in here!
