A tribute to the changing of Autumn to Winter |
AUTUMN MELODIES by E C Wesch A chiseled wind cuts through the trees, like a knife slicing a tart. As Mother Nature strips like Gypsy Rose Lee, in prelude to a new seasons start. Discarding her coat of many colors, in a graceful abandon of life. She tosses her adornments upon hardening ground, enjoying life's freedom from strife. A melodious rustle of branches patter out a rhythmic beat, harmonize with the whistling breeze. While lullabies sung in the evening light, are echoing through the trees. The cataclysm of changes in the beautiful Autumn light, are occurring every day. While the busy Sandman sprinkles the land, preparing its slumbering way. |
