Nothing in this life just happens -
each day opens,
vistas untold
on life’s threshold.

Promises of new beginnings
strum the heartstrings;
let the past go,
lead, don’t follow.

Pointless thoughts does sunrise summon,
hope uncommon;
nascent visions –
or illusions?
