Blood Moon

There is little wildness here in condoland. What wildness exists is in our hearts.

The Aries full moon is a brilliant orb in the eastern sky. Tradition calls it a harvest moon or blood moon. Here in southwest Florida, more appropriate is Cool-Mornings Moon.

The veil between worlds grows thinner at this corner point turning of the world. I have brought Carlotta a blood-red heart pin for an early Samhain gift. She has brought me another spell and suggestions to hold a Dumb Supper.

Griots--the blood that runs through a corporeal body--the all-knowing, all-seeing eyes of society.


Carlotta's spell for a Blood Moon: Cherie--open the windows wide--allow the moon to burgle the house. Light a candle. Take two slips of paper--on one write what you wish to banish at the full moon time. Burn this slip of paper.

On the other write what you wish to seed at the time of the next New Moon. Place it next to my heart.

Remember cherie--guardez sons mots--every word has a ghostly double--and speech is not in people's hands--people are in the hands of speech...
