A metaphor for the loss of innocence in this crazy age. |
Magic No More People these days All have their aims; Money or fame, It’s one thing or another And gone are the days Filled with such wonders, Filled with such things You would barely believe. Magic and spells, Fairies and dragons, Phoenixes singing from High up above you With gryphons and gold, Powerful wizards, Mythical creatures Abound everywhere you looked. Gone are those fairytale things; The world believes in magic no more. When we were young, We could believe In some things greater Than we could imagine but We’re in an age Ruled by our senses; Fairytales just have No place in our world. We may have faith, We may be happy, We may have light To fill our hearts and maybe we Believe in love, Believe in living, Believe in miracles everywhere but we Never found magic again; The world believes in magic no more. Until the end, I still believe In those most ancient days When all the world was just Freedom to find Monsters and magic; The quest was whatever you wanted to make of it. Gone are those fairytale things, The sprites, elves, and mystical kings, For I believe that magic is no more. |
