Taken from me, on a cloud she does sleep.
I was left all alone like a little lost sheep.
The hurting I feel just won’t go away,
I live with it from day to day.
Retaining faith, I desperately strive to keep,
as I wander aimlessly like a little lost sheep.
I want her back, and cannot stop the tears,
for only she could quell my fears.
My heart aches, I want my mother back.
I plead with God to cut me some slack.
The aching within so intense and deep,
I still walk alone like a little lost sheep.
How I miss you, my beloved mother!
The bond we shared was like no other.
This little lost sheep tries to carry on.
Most difficult to do since you’ve been gone.
Call me selfish, for I know you‘re in God‘s care,
but I want you back, it seems so unfair.
Forever in my heart, undying love will run deep.
I’m nothing without you but a little lost sheep.
