Sunrise poem. |
| SUNRISE By: Rusty Cason With darkness gone, heaven's theater starts it's daily play. Will this be my day of chance, to write about it's rays? A thousand times I watched it rise, without a single flaw. I watch in earnest wonderment, humility and awe. It brings new light and life to all, including you and me. The portrait, that I paint with words, should bring you to your knees. Glowing Orange and Pinks, reflecting from the clouds above. The blending, reddish colors are the ones I truly love. As I watch, It's colored fingers reach cross the sky. Again, I feel that friendly tear escaping from my eye. I breathe a sigh and bow my head, for I am only me. No poet, song or writer could describe this thing I see. And then a thought came to me, as I wiped my eyes once more. If you look east at sunrise, you can see what I adore. Then you and I could cry together, tears would fall like rain. Gazing at the sight that words alone could not explain. by: Rusty Cason |
