Open Shadow

An open shadow,
shall I seek thee?

Such mockery,
ever will my eyes open?

I see before me,
such contentment in your eyes.

How can I will enough strength,
if you scorn and jeer?

You seek someone fair and flirtatious,
such as I?
You will never see.

I am reserved,
yet flamboyant at times.

A friend of mine,
is whom you seek.

"Never,"you say,"Can there be more".

I care not what your heart seeks,
a breast to pillow your head,
is all you seem to care for.

Luxiories such as happiness and care,
is soiled out of your brain.

Go if ye must,
but know this!

My heart is closed,
seek another.
