a love poem |
| She was old... Her body was wrinkled Her face unattractive And in her heart dwelled hate and sorrow Her soul was troubled and lost She was miserable But He still loved her He still fell for her His heart went out to her He prayed for her when she deceived Him And forgave her when she spat in His face and denied Him He longed for her although she wanted nothing to do with Him He loved her so much, that He agreed to be nailed to the cross So much agony, pain and sorrow He suffered through- All out of love... The Greatest Love ever known to man Can there ever be a love greater than this? And even now, away on His throne in the heavens He pleads her case to His Father everyday He's still there, as always knocking on her door With a longing heart, He waits for His bride And He won't rest Until she finally answers... |
