Thank you MEG (Sixth poem of nine in the TIME SERIES) THE DUELLING POETS CONTINUE THEIR QUEST. This poem may befuddle you, so I'll bring you up to date. It's the story of two brothers and their Grandad's watch's fate. GENO (elder brother) left the watch at BRADDOCK'S place And years passed 'fore light of day again saw watch's face. In cryptic style Braddock sent a sign "A MEMORY IN TIME" To tell that he had found the watch and that "It wasn't mine". Geno broke the code and replied to him without too much delay "THE DAWNING OF TIME" was the answer he did say. MEG, the mediator, mother of these poets two Wrote the tale of "DUELLING POETS" to explain it all to you. Now the watch must travel many miles, Two thousand, maybe more, From the Southern coast of Aussie to the farthest Northern shore. Braddock -- wily Braddock -- was evasive just once more And penned the "PASSING OF (the)TIME with riddles posed galore To tell of where, when and how Geno would have the pleasure Of receiving and beholding one more time his Grandad's treasure. Geno thought he'd cracked the code ! And with unbridled glee Responded with "ANTICIPATION OF TIME", and now must he Follow the clues, collect the watch, if he got the puzzle right Should be holding his possession in just a few more nights. Keep watching on this site till this saga meets its end Though these brothers enjoy duelling, they are the best of friends. As their mother, I am anxious to see the final stage Of this war of words my sons, both dear, decided to engage. |
