A disturbing poem of a boy who got into the wrong car.
Stranger

My name is Greg, ‘while ago I was ten,
I can’t remember much since then.
In this dark room I have been,
Never spoken to, never seen.

The two men that took me here,
I often hear drinking beer.
However so much time has passed,
And I’m finding it hard to fast.
My throat is sough from lack of drink,
My head is hurting too hard to think.
My stomach hurts from lack of grub,
And I haven’t washed in this little hub.

My mum and dad will come soon,
To take me home and to my room.
Where they will kiss me and say goodnight,
And it will end this horrible fright.
Yet mum and dad are yet to appear,
And once again I feel more fear.

A man opened the door later that night,
He was bruised and had been in a fight.
He chucked a beer bottle at me,
Then he left without giving me tea.
I started to cry and whine to myself,
I really didn’t feel in good health.
I really wish so very much and far,
That I hadn’t got into that stranger’s car.
