Memory lost
In the continuum of your gaze
Space and time destroyed
The moments speeding by
Mesmirized by mysterious holes
Holes that are your eyes
Obsidian orbs that at once, mirror
Diamonds of light, and yet consume
All brightness with their hunger
Black pits of curiosity, innocence
Feeding on my eyes, my soul

Do not look at me with such eyes
A brimming secret
Of gentle admiration,
Beckoning me by
Unfathomable depths.
They burn
Radiant with your inner fire,
Your unspeakable beauty.
Scorched by this intensity,
Your eyes still penetrate my soul
As I struggle to look away.
What is it you want from me?
What is it I hesitate to give?

Ripping my gaze from yours
I can hardly breathe
My heartbeat
A mallet in my chest
Fear claws within me
Of what?
Your liquid eyes that sear through my being
Isolating dreams, darkness and desires
And yet, you do not criticize.
You look at me as if you love me
