This article is to rub off my basic writing skills

I always wondered as how these authors do actually put down their thoughts in a piece of paper. Writing is something I have never tried. Thanks to google for pointing me to this wonderful community. Now I can also try my hands on it. To go ahead I want to write a book. Looking for everybody's help and useful comments.
