God speaking to our hearts.

It is foolishness,
to know what ought to be done
and to turn yourself away from it.
I can not help you.
my hands are here
I can not reach any farther.
to be saved you only need
to reach up and take hold.
but like the foolish human that you are,
instead of taking hold of the solid ground surrounding you,
you flail and take hold of the sinking mire.
i can shout to you all i want
but until you stop and realize that you cant make it
you will never hear the sound of my voice.
so i will whisper in your heart be still,
i am here for you when you decide to let me take control.
