Make the most of each moment (while our souls give all away), before it's gone.

Humble leaf, with your spine exposed
to the howls of northern air,
tenderly hold to the hardened surface.

Gentle friend, damped by cold rain,
November crystallizes, unforgiving,
while you await the white blanket.

Giving soul, your once vibrant essence
bleeds life back into the ignorant soil.
From green to orange then black, you died.

Returning love, blossom slow this time.
Let time breathe inside your branching heart.
Emerge invisibly; dance back into dry eyes.
