a poem about how looks can be misleading and judging people from the inside
I live in a world that judges,
from the outside-in.
Where beauty is a mask
to hide your sin.

I live in a world that's all about,
prep and popularity.
where being 'fashionable, and 'cool,'
is all that matters in a school,
instead of talent, friendliness, or charity.

Everyone seems to see the world
from the outside-in,
where all that matters is looking cool
and that you win.

You can't really judge a person by their looks,
your face doesn't always reflect your soul.
then every judgement that you make is a twisted illusion,
your world is beautiful but numb, an empty hole.

But I'm seeing the world
from the inside-out,
everything is turned around,
upside-down and switched about.

the cliches and the preps,
walking down the hall,
with their painted nails and pretty faces,
they're the ugliest of all.

the unnoticed, the friendless,
those looked upon as losers;
whoes sorrows or ugliness is endless,
don't you know I think you're beautiful?
