Who would have thought

We would ever be together.

Six years in the same class room,

With never a thought,

We had for the other.

 

When marriage I proposed,

You thought it a joke.

But I knew we’re supposed,

To be together yoked,

A team of one.

 

The journey’s not been easy,

I’ve faltered again and again,

Then I see your soul,

The face of God

In your eyes.
