What I would do if I weren’t afraid…


If I weren’t afraid I would stand up for the earth
and the underdog
Always;
instead of just sometimes.

Without fear I would forgive,
Always;
Not just when it is convenient for me.

If I were not afraid I would not feel that
Money is the path to security.
I would give it away.

I would not race with time,
Forever feeling that there
Is not enough.

I would spend my money and time
Upon those that count,
Remembering that means everyone.

I would be honest with myself,
About myself.
I would be honest with others,
About myself.

I would let others read
My poetry,
I would let others see who I am,
And I would be who I am
without fear of the dark.

I would be able to let others shine their light upon me.
