“Upon the Evening Sun”

His time is come,
Upon the evening sun,
Regretting many things he’s done,

Eruptions of his soul,
A soft voice speaking low,

Sad tears no longer flow,
Into the bright light he goes,

Burden of lies set aside,
In a new place he does abide,

He does not want to be alone
His heart breaks before the throne

He left behind those he loved,
To watch over them from above,

He knows that he must go,
Into the light he must go,

Where his judgments do not stand
