Just a little bit of ranting about things while I was particularly bored one night. |
Sometime, I wonder if humankind is reversing its evolution. I talk with people all day, every day, it's my job. About nintey percent of the people I talk to have no common sense. They buy a phone and call in to ask me how to turn it on. They buy a broadband card, they call to ask me if it would allow them to access the internet once it's been activated. Store clerks call in asking how to use a program that is quite simply "fill out the information" and press next. It is frustrating, dealing with stupid people. I have also had customers who called in saying that when they signed up for a monthly service they expected it to be free and was upset at having to pay more than $0 when their bill was $40. One call would be a business customer that had a multimillion dollar bill and then the next call I have would be a customer who says their bill is $50 and it is too high they want credits, even though they know it is their fault they went over their bill. Not all of the people I talk to are frustrating, though, I do have some (granted it is not that many) that understand what I'm saying and ask questions that don't make you go "duh". All in all, I do kind of wish I had a job more behind the scenes when it comes to customer service, I'll just have to buy my time in the business until someone a little higher up decides I have the experience to join them. |
