Rejection

It’s an impression that makes you feel alone
It really only matters to those truly caring
Knowing self worth is something more than you own
Not displayed in the happy face you’re wearing

It’s a refusal to accept, consider or submit
A reason not to profess, hear or receive
Fearing the unknown leading not to commit
But still you Love, Trust and Believe

Sifting through life’s lessons in search of true affection
Hope fades waiting for an act of fate or change of heart
Pushing gated doors wide open to Love and rejection
Pausing only to remember your previous start

Future needs and desires seem to change collectively
Finds a shallow acceptance in rejection sorrow
Pondering brightly on memories selectively
Gathers strength for today and tomorrow

With a positive approach and understanding
Rejection impressions of alone begin fading
Gaining Trust with Love without demanding
Without it can be dating just to be dating

For Friendship and Love is worth waiting
