A car crash leaves a victim alone in a cold, snowy winter field.
Cold hits me,
Paralyzing my body,
My fingers are blue and numb,
But I can still see my breath,

Hanging upside down I look around,
At the glass in the snow,
At the battered car frame,
I can barely see them through my breath,

How did I get here?
Blood is rushing to my head,
It’s like my brain won’t work,
I can only see my breath.

Wind whips at my face,
My teeth start chattering,
My body starts shivering,
And I can see my breath less and less

Pain overtakes me,
I feel blood oozing,
Dripping down my crippled body,
But I can still see my breath.

I look out at the snow and trees,
I’m lost and alone,
Just me and my wrecked car,
And I can barely see my breath anymore

Then I hear them,
Those glorious sirens,
But they are too late,
I can see my breath no longer…
