Strength to understand my bipolar son.
Strength

Finding my strength to understand him
Be patient and kind
Before I lose my mind

He wants and needs so much from me
He pulls tugs and digs
Leaving so little of me that I bleed internally

No one sees my wounds, scars
They have been building up
Underneath my bra

I carry it all, his words, and his abuse
I take it all in, I can never lose
Trying hard to educate the rest of the family
When will they listen to me?

Finding my strength to understand him

Love him anyway,
Help find that loving gentle caring way
That he needs from me

Finding something inside
To stop the bleeding
Make me loving and kind
I am strong enough
To help us all understand.
