Reversion

A feeling is rising within me
I have known this feeling before
I wonder if anyone can see
Someone has opened a door

It's overtaking me was swift
as in the times of lore
I want to reject the god's cursed gift

I do not welcome this familar stranger
and down to my very core
I can start to feel the building danger

Something inside me is starting to break
like waves upon the shore
then my soul begins to quake

This feeling inside me must take it's leave
as I steadily cross the floor
I give one final forceful heave
And I have shut the door
