Emotions Tamed

Light flooded through his window pane,
A smile of satisfaction came.
Because with that light, a thought roamed in his head.
A feeling of bliss that soon filled with dread.
Rain pounded his face with shame,
His eyes darkened as sadness came.
For the rain overwhelmed him with memories.
Memories of anger and atrocities.
Across the floor was a single flame.
He thought of what was burning and anger came.
But past memories were now subdued,
At the thought of what will be anew.
He thought of the day ahead
The future hopes, dreams, what will be said
He thought of the girl with that beautiful face
So what happened next?
Love took its claim.
He was no longer perplexed
His emotions were tamed.
