feeling of seemingly endless pain........yet still hoping

There is a sadness in her eyes
...a pool of sadness and sorrow
a certain sadness in her eyes
...a promise of no tomorrow

There is a dull ache in her look
...a heartbreaking ache that no one shares
an unbearable ache in her look
...a burden that she alone bares

There is hurt in all she sees
...an unending hurting and fears
a raw hurting in all she sees
...a bottomless well of unshed tears

Yet inspite of all the burden she carries
...she does not let go, she holds on
she holds on tight, and hopes...
maybe, just maybe, one day the pain will be gone
