A poem about 2 mothers--a "first mom" and an adoptive mom |
| Two Mothers Two mothers she would love, though one she'd never know. One gave the gift of life; the other watched her grow. Each gave what they could give, a tapestry to share, colorful threads from two artisans woven with great care. Two mothers loved one daughter- two women who'd never met. Each of the mothers live forever in each other's debt. Pat Nelson May 24, 2008 Revised July 12, 2011 (second verse re-written) |
