A poem about an ear infection and a meeting I attended
If I lived inside of an aspirin
this is how it would feel.

A goldenrod fluid came out of my ear
this morning, and now a hand

Is shaking a hand. I spent the meeting
staring at his tie, eating a glazed donut,

And thinking of hand ownership. I feel
more inside my skull than ever before.

I think we’d all agree that we have holes
in ourselves and the best interest rates.

There’s a tiny sucking sound and somewhere
a sliding glass door opens. We are open

For business!
