Senses alert, psychosis creeping in
Flittering thoughts, dreams are premonitions.

Violence decays, profanity abounds
Nonstop hatred courses through selfish sounds.

Emotional excess, blackout ensues
Rage and aggression spills forth onto you.

Innocence is lost, shame creeps slowly in
Convicted to death, judged guilty of sin.

Wretched demons of my soul please depart
Memories of truth cut into my heart.

Blood of hatred past taints the ground below
Honesty stitches, forgiveness is slow.

Admitting faults, choosing life over death
Grace is embraced, lies dispelled with one breath.

Animosity and anger exposed
Love and trust mature, a truce is proposed.

Bonds are forged, tested, and hold till the end
Harsh winds try to break, but love only bends.
