It beckons, calls and haunts you in Every thick and pounding thought And bewitches you with its silvery net, Dumbfounding you until you are caught It lives under your skin and in your eyes Always with a tear of anticipation. Its perplexity arises when next you submit To its bondage and infatuation. Every thump in your heart screams for its return No matter how greatly your chambers may bleed For the untamable spirit while breaking your soul, In time, will grant you your every need. |
