First, a checklist- my personal writing process for the rough draft

__ Thesis -- what was the impact of the event on the person
__ Title -- creative and reflects the thesis
__ Points -- each important point in each section, especially the introductory paragraph
__ Sources -- each website and reference book checked into Noodle Tools

Next, some notes on the above

Clearness gets points! Be as clear as possible. Revise as much as you want. Remember, after the rough draft, you have only two weeks to write the finalized version, and much of those will be spent on intricate formatting/citations, etc. So do all the work here!

And, the format

3 pages minimum, not counting works cited or title pages
Typed, 1.5 spaced, standard margins and Times New Roman 12 font.

Parenthetical References
Title page, going title, byline, image.

Lastly, the layout

1) Introduction. Headed off by the thesis, in this format: ______ had the greatest impact on ______ because... Next in the introduction will be a discussion of what was driving the person, what their mission what in life, what they were trying to do.
2) Background. The life of the person up to the event. Show their character or driving force when evidence is there in the actions or events before the main event.
3) Event. A detailed paragraph describing and explaining the event.
4) Impact. The influence of the previous section in the life of the person after the event. Every instance from the event forward should display the impact the event had on the person.
5) Conclusion: Reflect on the impact of the person's life on history.
