Love's reunion at last.
(In a man's perspective)

Her curly locks
give me a mental block.
All I remember
is that night
late last September.

Her eyes were as blue as
all the cheesy things people can compare them to.
The snowy mountains far away
A crystal ocean on a summer day.

When she looks up, she smiles.
Seeing her face again
makes everything worthwhile.

My journey is over.
The treasure I sought is found.
Oh how I love her
Here she comes now.

I run to her side
Embracing my prize
And I can see the ocean's tide
Hidden in her eyes.
Once more.

(woman's perspective)

I miss him. I remember how
He laughed at everything
Just like I.
And the color of his eyes
That rich brown
that made my heart sing.

The brown of the soil
that sprouts so much life.
The flowers that break through the strife
Of loss.

I lost him last September.
It hurts to remember.
He found my heart
and I only know sorrow
Now that we're apart.

Paranoia has become me
I thought I saw him there.
I want to open my heart and see
My love is here.

But my eyes love playing tricks.
And that is something only my true love can fix.
I look up and see the man I love
He is under my half
of the sky above.

I begin to walk over.
To make sure he isn't
a hallucination
A trick, no matter how pleasant

He runs toward me and I know
It is him.
He embraces me.
I breathe him in.
And his rich brown eyes show
He has been looking for me.

My love has come back.
He has reopened my locked up heart.
My eternal anxiety attack
has disappeared
now that he is back.
Now that I know we'll never be apart.
