This is a poem about the battle of deneying your hunger through an eating disorder
Hunger-

An enemy I declare war on,

Feast or famine-

I indulge myself then starve away the shame,

Cravings

that overtake me

Invading my mind and

Drowning me in their demands

I will resist

I will fight my hunger

Until my bones creep out from

Under my flesh

Exposed and breaking

I will cease to feel the pain in my center

I scream- I WILL NOT FEED YOU

White bones and parched lips

Empty and wanting

I rise a new creature

Almost inhuman

I desire NOT
