Sitting in a fox hole

For all our men and women who serve this country proud

Darkness has nothing on this place.
as I sit in this fox hole.
with my eyes usless.
the only sound I here is the beating of my heart, the breath of the wind.

Yet I stay and wait, for my countrys ememy.
Hoping I survie, knowing I wont.
my mind keeps me company, when all I want is to be alone.
To finish my tour and go home.
