Touched From Afar

I watched you from a distant shore
Your gorgeous face in the midst of the great masses once more
The music of your laughter filled my heart with joy
And the love you brought to others is a beautiful story

Told in the songs that you write, they warm my heart on a cold winter's night
To your dancing that hypnotizes my senses
Making it impossible to resist this

Feeling of infatuation when I see your face
Your lovely onyx eyes holding within them the promise of a warm embrace

Your smile lights up the darkest of rooms
Causing my heart to swell with a love it consumes
Your enemies seek your downfall with great eagerness
But all I want for you is loving tenderness

I pray I will meet you one fine day
And to be able to hold you in a warm embrace
For all I ever wanted for you is to show you love
And for you to know that you are someone I think so highly of

For although we haven't met great star
You still have managed to touch my heart from afar
