Sometmes love has a way of surprising us in a most unexpected way!

HOW PRECIOUS IS THIS!

We take a big slice
of the cool summer night
as it fills the car windows
with bright lights and shadows.
He turns, sings to me
as I laugh in his glee.
His nearness, a kiss,
how precious is this!

His song’s light and airy
about a pet dog named Hairy.
His cheer pulls me in
and I laugh at his grin.
I hang on for the ride,
save the moment inside.
I take one small step back
how precious is that!

I watch and I listen
as his loving eyes glisten
and the bottles in the trunk
go rattle and thunk
and the stars light the sky
above my special guy.
In this moment so joyous,
how precious he is!
