Complex Relationships

Relationships: family, romantic and platonic. Some can be so simple and easy and some can be more complex than the formula for cold fusion. People, society, “them”, etc. seem to think the simple ones are the only true, solid and worthwhile relationships. Human nature of always wanting to take the path of least resistance I suppose. However, I disagree. That’s not to say I don’t value simple easy relationships, my best friend for example is one of the most peaceful easy relationship I have ever had the fortune of having and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Complex relationships though to me hold great value. Life is complex. There are an immeasurable number of variables that can change a person’s course of life hundreds of times over. Those variables should be embraced and valued and no one should endure those variables alone just as the formula for cold fusion wouldn’t work if one of its variables were absent or partial. I suppose this is where someone could argue that cold fusion isn’t possible and likewise a complex relationship isn’t either. That then leads me to imagination and determination.

Imagine what your life could be, imagine happiness, contentment, and success……..(this is the part where you close your eyes and imagine, go ahead, no one’s looking, you should even smile a little while you do it too) Find determination to make your imaginations become reality. Surround yourself with people that can accept your imaginations and fuel your determination. In turn accept their imaginations and fuel their determination. Accept the complex variables in life; appreciate the wisdom they bring, adjust your imaginations accordingly and hold on to your determination and the people that fuel it and return the favor to those people in your life that stay by your side. If you follow those rules, in time, the people you are left with in your life will be genuine and true to you. Then the complexities of your relationships just may not seem quite so complex afterall.
