My recent '10 feedback for becoming a sponsor for Rising Stars |
Hi. I am Feather Duster. I'm proud to be a sponsor for Rising Stars. I'm soon to be sixty and I am sharing things now with a young, bright Rising Star faded. As in her bio, she is taking a writing course and very busy. I, too, am working hard on a novel that appears to be shaping up since I spent some time with the Novel Workshop. But back to Rising Stars. I myself enjoy the great levels. Gabriella has sent me an excellentt list of clues for a bitem-item activity for the Forum with Rising Stars. I found the list very thorough. It follows. 1) Share your overall impressions of Rising Stars. I am hoping I can live up to the classic group of those in Rising Stars being sponsors. The most impressive list of everthing writing.com can offer. 2) Do we convey our mission clearly in our invitation and the materials you'll find in our Rising Stars portfolio ? Yes. I was a little afraid of joining simply because I might not show enough effort to my Rising Star. But it's worked out fine. 3) What do you think Rising Stars does best; what needs work ? Your contests are exceptional. I would work on who you pick if it's a choice for us. I am hoping it all works out. I will show as much effort as I can. 4) Which features of our program do you value most ? Why ? I value the Rising Stars rewards. What he or she gets from it all. 5) How do you feel about your participation in the program ? No problem. 6) Do you feel we do enough to keep our members engaged and interested ? Do we acknowledge your participation adequately ? Oh yes, I love getting email in my box from Rising Stars. And I know their Home Page and reminders are always great. 7) Have you participated at any level in a Rising Stars contest, workshop, program of any kind ? Any feedback/ suggestions ? I'm not sure but I'll have to get it right on this account. If I were to get into a contest with my Rising Star it would be fun. Then, if the subject is myself I also like participating a certain amount of time; but I have limited computer time. 8) For those of you who work hard to lead and/or support RS activities, are there ways we can further boost your efforts ? That's a good question. Perhaps, I'm suggesting, awardicons or merit badges? 9) What about recruiting more volunteers: how can we can engage more experienced and talented new members to help strengthen our programs ? Encourage Sponsors or someone who wants to be a Sponsor by giving them email about those who will participate. It is how I received stacylynn's former star. She is so bright. 10) What can Rising Stars do to help our writers build stronger writing and reviewing skills ? A Workshop is always good but writing is a natural born talent and Rising Stars is star-studded with things that make that happen. 11) Have you visited our Publishing Place ? Would you like to see us continue developing this program ? Oh, yes! 12) What more can we do to build support (develop a ladder) for our sponsors to step up and become more visible/active in our program ? I guess there is always going to be room for improvement. Just let people know that you are reliable and continue with great leaders. I know that many give more time than me but I am limited. Leaders on WDC for so so many groups are knock-outs! 13} Give us your ideas-feedback on any area of interest not covered in this questionnaire. I would like to congratulate so many of the Rising Stars there are. I like the fact that this is a stable group with good sense. It makes my job a little easier. I will watch my new Rising Star cautiously and continue to support this program for as long as I can. |
