I wrote this story in first grade while participating in Young Authors. I found it recently in a box up in my attic while cleaning today. Even though I won fourth place and got a little ribbon and all, I thought I might copy it to the site and maybe get some feedback on how I can make a little girl's simple story into a children book. I have a little boy that will be two years old next April and wish to write something more his age and with more of a learning feel to it.
Once there lived a little rabbit, Annie. She lived in a rabbit hole with her friends, Robin and Brother Rabbit.
One day they went for a long walk. They walked a long ways.
Then they were lost. Annie, Robin, and Brother Rabbit tried to find their way home.
Brother Rabbit said, "Our footprints! We can follow our footprints back."
