Exploding in suspension
the promise of spring

Lying in waiting
amid fields of sunflowers,
through summer passing

Falling forever
Eternal yellow and red
My heart fall holding

Waiting and hoping
to find you near me once more
To weather winter

Abiding always
the trickling of time going by
Until there is you
