A poem based on Biblical scripture found in Daniel 12 & 2 Tim 3

The Word by Cheryl Campbell The Words were written long ago sent here for mankind to read. Stories meant to show the way lessons for all to heed. But men are saying to ignore these Words claiming they're way out of date. They say the Book is full of myths and that we control our own fate. They pay no mind to the Truth that's told and that each Word is coming to pass. ‘Old fashioned stories’ is all they cry, unaware that the die has been cast. The Good Book says that the wicked will continue in their own way. They’ll understand what they so choose and ignore what God has to say. Humans will ever be learning knowledge will greatly increase. But they’ll gather all those around them who’ll only agree and not preach. They will love themselves and money, be ungrateful, unholy and more. They’ll be too proud and boastful to accept what God has in store. He has given us a mind to choose whether or not to open the door. We can believe the Word is God-breathed or we can decide to ignore. Myself, I have chosen to give my heart to the One who died for me. I’ll fight the good fight and finish the race; keep the faith, then with Him I’ll be. |
