My hands cover my ears to shelter myself from your words
You scream at me for such little things
Striking at me with your hurtful words
I cry in the dark when you are sleeping
I think about leaving but I don’t dare try
I know you will drag me back with promises I know you won’t keep
You love me so much you say
So why do you say what you say
Why must I cry at night?
