Halloween Night

I love Halloween night
with its gentle breeze
and crisp cool silver
moon filled glowing
sky flowing with
imaginary witches
and flapping bats
leaves crunching happily
under your feet
as you soak in
the velvet black night
that smells like
smoke, candy wrappers
and cool wind
as ghosts float
and spirits abound
laughing in the darkness
feet shuffling and skipping
doorbells ringing
orange glowing lights
cackling echoes
and scary sounds
are carried by the wind
as the night envelopes
the happy, ghoulish scene
